Okay here we go with my excuses, which i do feel they are but am not sure how to get around some of them.

Oil I actually have some left i just can’t quite work out what is left the gauge is all mucky and you have to peer into the tank to see when you are getting low etc, i estimate i have about 100-200 litres left but because i am not sure i have done what i have bought over the last 12 months instead.

Electricity is normally a lot lower than this unfortunatley i had to have dehumidifiers on for about 2 1/2 months at the start of the year as i had damp running down my walls in the bedroom, and my health had started to suffer as well as my belonings. This actually doubled my bill for this period.

I was on a renewable, went to change to a different renewable and was put on something else, because i am due to move i have not changed since.

Car Travel I know this is huge (though i do normally do more).

Where to begin with this..

I don’t drink so if i am going to any social event i am the designated driver by default, i do try and do most trips in conjunction with something else, i do use my car for business too and have not seperated this as it is my business, so therfore i am responsible.

I do use Bio-Diesel but not all of the time and never bio-diesel from a station so it is not ever from the other side of the world,destroying forests, i bought a diesel so i could save and then get my SVO Conversion, i have looked into electric cars too small, or uncomfortable.

As for public Transport it is no good for me, i will explain.

For those of you who do not know i have a spinal condition, i have 3 fractures of the spine, i also suffer with trapped nerves etc etc (17 years so far(will try not to bore you)) this means my mobility is very limited i cannot walk to far and i cannot cycle at all (i am looking into an electric trike but again this comes down to money and i cannot get funding as i have a car.

Public transport is a no no because buses are too uncomfortable, am in that much pain at the other end i cannot function, trains are much the same and the help they guarntee you if you pre book etc you do not get, where as if i drive i am in control of my independance my time scale and my functioning.

Very Selfish i know, i need a largish car as i need to be able to get the wheelchair in if i have to go further than my normal distance and i will also need to have space for the people i would need to assist me as i cannot manage the wheel chair myself (it is not electric, and my fractures are in the higher part of my spine which means i cannot propel myself without causing damage and pain).

I try very hard in other areas to reduse, reuse and recycle etc…
