Anthony Ward – carbon footprint calculations
I used the CRAGS ‘calculate your carbon emissions’ sheet (XLS) as my baseline for all these figures with the exception of the green tariff where I took Amy’s suggestion that green tariffs might also be given a conversion factor albeit one much lower than conventional electricity.
Gas Heating 700 (notional average estimate)@ 2.2 = 1540 Coal 0
Oil 0
Electricity 655 (green) @ 0,15 = 93.3
Car 2420 miles @ 0.19 = 459.8
Public Transport 1570 miles @ 0.11 = 172.7
Plane 0
Total = 2.266 tons
