Patrick Whitefield – carbon footprint calculations

Dear All,

Here are my CO2 figures:

Gas heating 1175
Electricity, green (1935×0.15) 290
Car 569.5
Bus 422
Train 517

TOTAL 2973.5

This doesn’t actually tally with the figure I mentioned at the meeting, even allowing for the fact that that figure didn’t include anything for electricity and did include an estimate for ’shopping’. May arithmetic is terrible. I’m not even 100% sure of this figure. Some of my transport calculations were quite complicated with plenty of opportunites for error. I really should go through it all again some time.
